🛠️ Five Steps (General Tips)
- 1Empty it and set aside anything hazardous.
Paint, fuel and chemicals do not go in the debris load. See paint disposal and hazardous waste pages for your county. - 2Take it apart and sort it.
Keep wood, metal, roofing and any concrete pad in separate piles. Facilities list different fees for different materials. - 3Check what your facility takes and charges.
Use the table below, then open the facility page for hours and rules. Call before you go, because rates and rules change. - 4Cover and tie down the load.
Some facilities add a fee for uncovered loads. - 5Expect to be weighed.
Most charge construction debris by the ton, so a lighter, sorted load costs less to dump.
These steps are general tips. Fees, limits and rules below come from each facility's published rate sheet.
