🗑️ Fresno Trash Pickup

Who collects in Fresno, California, how to find your pickup day, bulk item pickup, holiday delays and what it costs. Checked October 31, 2026.

⚡ Quick Answer

In Fresno, residential trash is collected by City of Fresno Department of Public Utilities, Solid Waste. Pickup days depend on your address, so check with the collector to find yours. Questions: (559) 621-6888. Bulk item pickup: Free once per account per year.

Checked October 31, 2026 against the city's and its hauler's own pages. We never print a pickup day for a whole city, because it changes by street.

🗓️ How Pickup Works

All three carts are collected on the same assigned day, one day per week, between 5:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Place carts out after 6:00 p.m. the night before; they must be out by 5:30 a.m. on collection day. Remove emptied carts from the curb and out of view by 8:00 p.m. on collection day.

The City's residential services page says the City provides residents with three 96-gallon carts emptied by automated collection trucks; no contractor is named for single-family service.
