Checked November 1, 2026 against the city's and its hauler's own pages. We never print a pickup day for a whole city, because it changes by street.

🗓️ How Pickup Works

Find your zone with the zone finder on the Collection Schedule page; zone-specific trash and recycling calendars are mailed to customers at the start of each year (Sanitation Customer Service, (727) 893-7838). Garbage is collected twice weekly for single-family homes; once-weekly service is available to qualifying one- or two-person households. Recycling frequency is not printed. The recycling page says containers may go out after 7 p.m. the night before, must be out by 7 a.m. on collection day, and must be removed by 7 p.m. the same day.

The City's Sanitation Department serves more than 76,000 private household accounts from alley or curbside containers.

🌀 Hurricanes and Storm Debris

From the City's storm debris release of September 6, 2023 (event-specific; no standing City storm debris page was found, and Pinellas County's debris page says each city manages its own pickup): place separated debris in front of the house near the roadway curb in the right-of-way, and keep it on private property until it is ready for pickup. Do not place debris near trees, poles, fire hydrants, utility boxes or other structures, in alleyways or on sidewalks, or in the street. Vegetative storm debris goes in your trash bin for regular pickup; if it does not fit, call (727) 893-7398 to schedule a special pickup.
