Checked November 1, 2026 against the city's and its hauler's own pages. We never print a pickup day for a whole city, because it changes by street.
🗓️ How Pickup Works
Search your address on the Find your pickup day map, or call 1PSL at (772) 871-1775 and press 5. "Garbage, recycling, and yard waste are picked up once a week"; bulk waste is collected once a month on the same day as your regular pickup. Place carts at the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before and no later than 7 a.m. on pickup day, and remove them the night of service. Garbage must be bagged and fit in the cart with the lid closed; recycling goes in loose.
The Solid Waste assessment page names "FCC Environmental Services, LLC" as the hauler; other City pages say only "our waste hauler." Questions and requests go to 1PSL at (772) 871-1775, press 5.

🎄 Holiday Delays
"Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only observed holidays that affect collection schedules." When one falls on your service day, "the garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulk collection schedules shift forward one day" (Thursday moves to Friday, Friday moves to Saturday). For 2026, a City news story published June 18, 2026 said July 4 fell on a Saturday, so there was no change. Holidays named: Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
🌀 Hurricanes and Storm Debris
Before a storm: trim trees well ahead (major cutting December to April); once a watch or warning is issued, stop trimming (it will not be collected until after the storm) and secure carts away from the curb, ideally in a garage. Under City Ordinance Section 98.09(a), residents must stop all trimming once the City is in the National Weather Service "cone of uncertainty," and the City stops all Solid Waste Operations once tropical storm force winds are forecast within 96 hours. After the storm, separate garbage, vegetation and bulk debris; containerize household garbage in carts on your regular day; place yard and bulk piles away from trees and power lines ("Trucks cannot pick-up debris piles underneath them"). Check for schedule changes online or at (772) 871-1775, press 5.
