🗓️ How Pickup Works
Look up your address on MyJax or call 630-CITY (2489). Garbage and yard waste are collected weekly and recycling every other week. Bulk varies by service area: every other week in areas with automated carts, weekly on garbage day in areas without them. Tires and appliances are by request only. Set items out no earlier than 5 p.m. the day before and no later than 6 a.m. on collection day, within 5 feet of the curb or pavement edge and 3 feet from vehicles, mailboxes, fire hydrants and utilities. Remove empty containers by 6 a.m. the day after collection.
Residential collection is provided by the City crew and contracted haulers. The Local Waste Haulers page lists Meridian Waste, Service Areas 1 and 2, (904) 701-1770, and Waste Pro USA, Service Area 3, (904) 731-7288; it does not assign a numbered service area to the City crew. City and Meridian service areas are non-automated (bags or cans); the Waste Pro service area is automated (city-issued carts). To find your hauler, use the map on the Local Waste Haulers page or call (904) 630-CITY (2489).
