Checked November 1, 2026 against the city's and its hauler's own pages. We never print a pickup day for a whole city, because it changes by street.
🗓️ How Pickup Works
Use Check your Trash Day to find your day. "Residential curbside collection is provided one (1) time per week"; bulk waste, garbage, recycling and yard waste are all collected on the same day. Service begins at 5 a.m. Monday through Friday from May 1 to September 30 and at 6 a.m. from October 1 to April 30. Totes may go to the curb any time after 5 p.m. the day before collection. Missed pickups can be reported after 6:00 p.m. on collection day.
"The City of Cape Coral contracts with Waste Pro to provide solid waste removal services to residents and business owners." Waste Pro: (239) 337-0800. Requests go through the City's 311 Call Center.

🎄 Holiday Delays
No collection on the six listed holidays. "If the holiday falls on a weekday, the collection schedule will be delayed one day" from the day of the holiday for the rest of the week (for example, Friday pickup moves to Saturday). "Your collection schedule will not be affected if the holiday falls on Saturday or Sunday." Holidays named: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
🌀 Hurricanes and Storm Debris
From the City's Hurricane Milton page (2024, Emergency Management and Resilience): place storm debris at the curb in "four separate piles: household garbage, appliances (white goods), yard waste and construction and demolition debris," separate from regular trash. Stack yard waste so crews can lift it with a claw truck. Household garbage goes in a 40-gallon can or heavy plastic bag, each no more than 50 pounds. Do not place debris beneath low-hanging trees or power lines, or near hydrants and mailboxes. Remove food from appliances. Residents "MUST adhere to debris separation standards." An October 27, 2022 City release (Hurricane Ian) adds: do not put hurricane debris in plastic bags, keep piles from mixing, and keep household chemicals and debris off utility boxes.
