🗑️ Rocky Mount Trash Pickup
Who collects in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, how to find your pickup day, bulk item pickup, holiday delays and what it costs. Checked October 31, 2026.
⚡ Quick Answer
In Rocky Mount, residential trash is collected by City of Rocky Mount Environmental Services Division. Pickup days depend on your address, so check with the collector to find yours. Questions: (252) 467-4980.
Checked October 31, 2026 against the city's and its hauler's own pages. We never print a pickup day for a whole city, because it changes by street.
🗓️ How Pickup Works
Household garbage and yard waste are collected once each week on a day set by your street address. Recycling (blue-lid cart) is collected every other week on a GREEN or RED week schedule shown in the City's brochure calendar; residents on GREEN in 2025 stay on GREEN for 2026, and RED stays on RED. Place carts, bulk and yard waste out by 6:30 am on your collection day and remove carts by midnight.
The 2026 Environmental Services brochure says the City of Rocky Mount collects residential garbage and recycling by 96-gallon rollout cart.
| Cart | Sizes | How often |
|---|---|---|
| 🗑️ Trash (black lid) | 96 gallon | weekly |
| ♻️ Recycling (blue lid) | 96 gallon | every other week |
| 🍂 Yard waste | Not printed | weekly |
