🛋️ Bulk Item Pickup
- 💵Cost: One collection per week of up to 3 bulky items is free of charge. Requests for more than 3 items at a time incur charges; the City contacts you about payment (amount not printed). Yard waste customers get two free bulky brush pickups per year ($40 value); excess debris is subject to additional charges approved by the customer before collection.
- 📞How to book: Collection is by request only. Schedule online through the City's bulky items page, the ReCollect tool or the Durham Rollout app. Bulky brush (yard waste customers): call 919-560-1200 for an appointment.
- 📏Limits: Up to 3 items per free pickup, once per week. Bulky brush must not exceed 4 cubic yards (about one average pickup truck load). Appliances: remove all food and debris and remove or secure doors. Lawn equipment: drain gasoline, oil and other fluids. Do not place items under low-hanging wires or tree limbs, or on water meters, fire hydrants or telephone boxes.
