🗓️ How Pickup Works
Enter your address on the City's collection schedule map. Garbage is collected twice each week, recycling weekly, yard waste once a week, and bulk once a month. Collection starts at 7:00 a.m. (8:00 a.m. in the Beach District). City FAQ: carts can go out no earlier than 5:00 pm the day before service, should be out by 7:00 am, and must be returned to storage no later than 7:00 pm on service day. Keep carts at least three feet from mailboxes, fences, trees, poles and FPL lines, lid closed and arrow facing the street or alley. Carts must be stored at the side or rear of the property, not in the alley.
The City's Curbside Trash page says: "Garbage collection in the City of Hollywood is handled by Waste Pro USA, with service provided twice each week." The City's Environmental Services Division oversees collection and bills the monthly sanitation fee on the City utility bill. Multifamily and commercial properties have a separate City page.

🛋️ Bulk Item Pickup
- 💵Cost: Included in the monthly sanitation fee. Oversized yard piles "will not be collected until payment arrangements are made for the oversized portion"; no dollar amount is printed. Rocks, dirt and construction debris: "There is a fee to dispose of these materials" (call 954.680.0087). Unacceptable or mixed material left after a 24-hour notice may be collected by the City with disposal costs plus a $200 administrative fee.
- 📞How to book: Bulk waste (furniture, mattresses, appliances, bicycles and similar goods) is collected monthly on your scheduled day per the City's map. Since October 1, 2020, bulk and yard waste are collected separately and may not be mixed. Place material at the rear of the property if there is an alley, otherwise on the swale or unpaved right-of-way, not blocking traffic or near utility equipment. Do not set material out more than 24 hours before service. Remove refrigerator doors, propane tanks from grills and Freon from air conditioners; cut material to no longer than 4 feet; loose items in plastic bags only (no cardboard boxes).
- 📏Limits: Bulk: "Bulk waste material shall be no more than 6 cubic yards" per monthly collection. Yard waste: "A maximum of 4 cubic yards of yard waste is allowed per weekly pickup." Not accepted: motor vehicles, trailers, machinery, flammables, hazardous waste, construction debris, soil, paint cans, bricks and concrete bags.

Not found on the pages checked. Additional garbage or recycling carts are requested through the City's Additional Cart Request form; only City-issued Waste Pro carts are accepted, one garbage and one recycling cart per unit.
♻️ Recycling
Weekly. Accepted: paper (including paperboard and junk mail), glass food and drink containers, plastic bottles and jugs, metal cans, and milk and juice cartons. Only brown corrugated cardboard shipping boxes, flattened and cut into two-foot by two-foot sections. No broken glass.
