⚡ Quick Answer
In San Bernardino, residential trash is collected by Burrtec Waste Industries. Pickup days depend on your address, so check with the collector to find yours. Questions: 909-804-4222 (Burrtec Customer Service, Mon to Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Bulk item pickup: Free, per Burrtec's Winter 2024 newsletter.
Checked October 31, 2026 against the city's and its hauler's own pages. We never print a pickup day for a whole city, because it changes by street.
🗓️ How Pickup Works
Pickup day depends on your address. The City points residents to the free SB City Waste app to view their collection schedule, or to Burrtec Customer Service at 909-804-4222. Set containers out before 6 a.m. on collection day and store them out of view from the public right-of-way.
The City's Integrated Solid Waste Management Division page says the City contracts with Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. for solid waste services. Questions about collection day, service level or changes go to Burrtec.
🛋️ Bulk Item Pickup
- 💵Cost: Free, per Burrtec's Winter 2024 newsletter.
- 📞How to book: The City's Solid Waste page says new bulky item pickups are temporarily suspended. Burrtec's Winter 2024 newsletter says to call Burrtec Customer Service at (909) 804-4222 one week before your collection day. Call to confirm the service is running.
- 📏Limits: Up to two curbside collections of large or bulky items during a 12 month period, maximum of five items per collection; includes electronic waste (Winter 2024 newsletter).
