🗓️ How Pickup Works

Your pickup day depends on your address. Use the View My Schedule link on Republic's Fremont page, or See Schedule & Track My Truck in an online account.

The City's Environmental Services page directs residents to Republic Services for starting and stopping service and for bulky item pickups.

🛋️ Bulk Item Pickup

• 💵Cost: Two by-appointment curbside bulky collections per year at no charge. An additional bulky item collection fee applies if the set-out exceeds 6x6x6 (amount not printed).
• 📞How to book: Call Republic Services at 510-657-3500 at least 2 weeks in advance, or use Schedule a Bulk Pickup on Republic's Fremont page. Place items in the street next to the curb no more than 24 hours early and by 5:45 a.m. on the scheduled day; not on the sidewalk, driveway or your property.
• 📏Limits: 2 appliances or large items (not to exceed 150 lbs), grouped in a 6x6x6 area. Household trash must be bagged, bundled or boxed. Yard trimmings no more than 12 inches in diameter and 4 feet long. Household batteries in a clear, sealed bag. Not accepted: material over 150 lbs, household hazardous materials, construction and demolition debris, concrete, motor vehicles, auto parts or fluids, hot ashes, animal waste, poison oak, commercial refrigerators, loose items.

New customers enter their address at republicservices.com/residents to check availability, then can create an online account. The City also directs residents to contact Republic Services to start or stop service.
